No cookies, no advertising trackers

This website sets no cookies. It loads no advertising pixels, no social media widgets, no chat popups and no third-party fonts. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

To understand how the site is used and how fast it loads, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., which also hosts and protects this website. It sets no cookies, does not use local storage or fingerprinting, and does not track you across sites or build a profile of you. It records aggregate figures such as page views, the referring site, browser and device type, country and page-load performance. Cloudflare processes this on our behalf; your IP address is used only to deliver the request and is not stored in these statistics.

Spam protection on forms (Cloudflare Turnstile)

Our sign-up, contact and checkout forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which tells people apart from automated programs. It is loaded only when you start filling in one of those forms; it then checks technical signals from your browser (and, occasionally, asks you to tick a box). Cloudflare processes this on our behalf for that purpose only.

The one exception is the map on our Contact page, which comes from Google and does set its own cookies. It is not loaded until you press “Show map”. If you never press it, nothing is requested from Google and nothing is set.

Once a shopping cart is added, your basket will be stored in your own browser using local storage. That data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us until you place an order, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

What we collect, and when

If you join the mailing list

We store your email address, which page you signed up from, the two-letter country code your request arrived from, and the date. That is all — no name, no IP address.

If you use the contact form

We store your name, email address, subject, message, country code and the date, so that we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.

If you place an order

We store your name, email address, shipping address, the items ordered, any personalization text you submit, and the order total. We need this to make and deliver your order and to meet our tax and accounting obligations.

Payment is not yet enabled on this website. When it is, card details will be handled directly by a PCI-compliant payment processor and will never be transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Why we are allowed to hold it

  • Consent — for the mailing list. Withdraw it at any time.
  • Contract — to fulfil an order you placed.
  • Legitimate interest — to answer your message, and to prevent spam and fraud.
  • Legal obligation — to keep sales and tax records.

Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this website and its database, and provides security and spam filtering. Data is processed under Cloudflare’s data processing terms.
  • Shipping carriers — receive the name and address needed to deliver your parcel.
  • A payment processor — once online payment is enabled, to take payment.
  • Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process data there. For visitors in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, transfers rely on the relevant standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Contact messages: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
  • Orders: 7 years, as required for tax and accounting records.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Email support@nivelyajewelry.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not ask you why, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

If you are in the UK or the EEA

You also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

If you are in California

Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of any sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Data is stored in Cloudflare’s infrastructure with access restricted to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold as little as possible so that there is as little as possible to lose.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting the mailing list will be announced by email.
