Most of what we make is engraved with somebody’s name, so most of what we make is made once. That is a strange thing to mass-produce, and it is why we would rather stay small and get the details right — the spacing of the letters, the depth of the cut, the way the band sits.

It is also why we email you to check the text before we cut it if anything looks unusual. Engraving is not reversible.
